Another motorcycle crash occurred on Wednesday night in Midvale Utah at 7720 South and 175 West.  Fox13now report that officers say the driver of a white truck was waiting for people in a crosswalk and after they had passed started to turn left and turned directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.  The motorcycle rider ended up under the truck and was dragged about 40 feet.  People nearby assisted in flipping the truck to help the motorcyclist under the truck.  The motorcyclist, 52-year-old Robert Horn, was wearing a helmet.

KSL reported that the motorcycle rider was dragged nearly 50 feet before the truck stopped.  They also report that the motorcycle was traveling at or below the speed limit at about 8:00 pm when the crash occurred.  Midvale police John Salazar said "Chest and head injuries; however, he was wearing his helmet, and that is exactly what saved his life."

Mr. Horn was taken to Intermountain Medical Center and was initially reported to be in critical condition but has been upgraded to serious condition since then.  Incidentally, the man driving the truck was 82-years-old.
