I've heard a lot of good things about Utah SportBike Association from a few motorcycle friends of mine. Apparently, the group has an excellent rider training program. There are three classes offered, sport touring, advanced rider training, and super advanced rider training. The sport touring class is targeted at riders were not especially interested in racing but are more interested in using their sport bikes on the street and especially in the canyons. These classes are the result of a partnership between Canyon Chasers Motorcycle Sport Touring and Utah Rider Education. By combining the instruction expertise of Utah's premier motorcycle safety foundation provider and the hundreds of thousands of miles of sport touring experience into a track-based curriculum, it creates for an exciting program for riders who enjoy riding on the street and the canyon. The goal of the advanced rider training class is to help riders improve their technique by riding on a highly technical and challenging course. There is no motorcycling endorsement required so you can take part in this class before going for your test with the DMV. The advanced rider training class looks like a prerequisite for the super art class. The super advanced rider training class is exactly what it says -- a class meant to teach you how to ride the monster mile track well. This is probably the best way to become familiar with racing motorcycles. If you're thinking about becoming a motorcycle racer and do not have a lot of experience you might want to consider taking these classes. Even if you are not interested in racing the sport touring class would be a good way to become a better rider.
