Motorcycle Accidents Happen Close to Home

OHIO:  Ammon D. Fellows, 28, suffered injuries that proved to be fatal in a motorcycle accident that occurred near his home late Friday afternoon, Clermont County officials said in a release.

I do not remember where but I once read that a large number of motorcycle accidents occur within 2 miles of the owner's home.  This is probably true for a number of reasons of which among them are failure to wear a helmet for a short little ride around the block or to the corner store.  Also being cavalier and not being in the proper mindset to embark on a motorcycle trip probably also contribute to the accidents.

I do not know about you but for me I go through this mental preparation process of getting ready to ride.  Once all my gear is on and I am ready to ride I stop and say to myself "OK - there are other drivers out there trying to kill you so dummy up and pay attention!"
