California:  We are hearing a lot about elderly drivers and their failure to safely operate their vehicles.  In this case it appears that the older driver of a Subaru was turning left and did not see the father and his son on the motorcycle.

It is going to become increasingly difficult to provide for stricter licensing of the elderly as all of the baby-boomers (including myself) move into retirement age.  The political will against this large electorate block is essentially nonexistent.

It is my hope that family of elderly persons who still drive try to make sure that they can still responsibly and safely drive their vehicles.
