Tow Trucks and Motorcycle Crashes

Posted by George Tait | Feb 11, 2022 | 0 Comments

Hello fellow bikers.

George Tait here, Utah Bike Law.

You want to know what happens to your ride when you're in a crash? Typically, what happens is that you're held off in the emergency room and your bike is laying inthe streets. The police calls tow truck company or whoever they have a contract with. They come pick-up your vehicle and take it to the wrecking yard. And there it sits day after day incurring cost of about anywhere from fifty to a hundred bucks a day. While you are in a hospital hopefully getting better, you know it keeps on racking up the fees. Fifty bucks a day or a hundred bucks a day adds up pretty quick, comes a week or two you know you got a bill there for a grand before you know it.

What do we do? If you contact us, we can right away get your motorcycle out in the wrecking yardand get it to some place where it can be repaired or get it to the insurance company's yard wherethey won't be charging you day in and day out like the wrecking yard.

If you have friends, if you have a trailer, get it out of there ASAP so you don't keep on racking upfees. That's how the tow truck company makes a bunch of doe so just so you're aware.

Be careful out there
